My Unlocked Blackjack i607 have signal problems

I just unlocked Samsung Blackjack i607 that i would like to use with my t-mobile service. It worked great for a while it desides to catch their signal but once you loose reseption for any reason. it would show no signal even in an area where there is full reseptions with my other phone. i have upgraded the rom from the samsung website and tweaked some settings to only maintain in the GSM service. and it makes no difference. the phone has not been droped damaged in anyway and everything is in excelent condition. i am thinking that the problem is within the WM5 os settings. i don't know if there is another step than putting the pass key to unlocking a phone. if there is please, anything will help. i really with they come out with unbranding flash or t-mobile flash for this phone.. it might solve my issue

Settings > Phone > All Calls > Networks

Check whether you have Automatic under "Network selection". If you have and it still doesn't work, click Menu (right soft-key) then Preferred Networks, wait for a while, then make sure you've put a checkmark next to your network's name. If the list is empty (for some reason), press Menu, select Add, find your operator in the list and add it, then put a checkmark next to it on the previous screen.
