Cannot create SMS

Hello everyone,

Could you guys point me to the solution to the following problem:

My Left Softkey is assigned to New SMS function. Everytime I click on it I get a window opened saying select your account, but in fact it is just a blank window with no list of accounts (email mms and sms) in it. Is there a cure to this problem? How can I fix this and benefit from creating SMS by using a softkey. Thanks
