Hi
I am not able to activate the pushmail feature on my JASJAR (O2 XDA EXEC). My device details are as follows:
ROM: 1.30.107 WWE
Radio: 1.09.00
Ext ROM: 1.30.162 WWE

I have configured my mail account (GMail) in the device and was able to send/ receive mails over GPRS/ WiFi. However, when I go to programs/ CommManager, I can see the envelope icon, but I am not able to activate the same. Can someone, suggest me what needs to be done please.
Many Thanks,
Suresh Nallan

Directpush only works with exchange server email accounts. It doesnt work with gmail or any other similar mail service.

Heya

mail2web is a free pushmail server.

If Gmail uses pop3 settings then you can configure mail2web to pull emails from it and push it too your device.

Just a thought.

mini_man is correct about mail2web and Gmail. Here is a way to effect the link:
Login to your Gmail ac on your pc.
Click on Settings (top right corner)
Click on Forwarding and POP
Enable: Forward a copy of incoming mail to...
Enter your Mail2web address in the bar provided.
Scroll down and click Save Changes.

To setup a free Mail2web address go to: http://live.mail2web.com

I have also responded to a post titled:
Mail2web push email question
There you will find more info.

Cheers.
