Guest moham_i Posted June 9, 2007 Report Share Posted June 9, 2007 Has anyone actually managed to unlock the SPV E650, ive tried that .CAB file thats in the forums, however, i get the spinning wheel freezing and it doesnt seems to actually unlock it. Ive also tried entering my details on the france.telecome website, however I never recieved anything in the email?! Ive also tried unlocking it through a security based program available from Microsoft however its states that it is two-tier protected and cannot unlock it. Im really frustrated about this phone :rolleyes: just seems impossible to unlock the thing! Anyone else having this problem with unlocking the phone? Guest dannybgoode Posted June 10, 2007 Report Share Posted June 10, 2007 I tried the Orange website and didn't receive anything. The site just froze when it said it was creating the necessary file. Whenever I went back in to re-try it spat out an asp error saying the file already existed. I then re-input my phone number but changed the last number of my IMEI by 1. This seemed to work and I got the file emailed to me within a couple of hours. Before copying it across to my phone I changed the file name (the file name is remove_[iMEI Number].cab) back to the correct IMEI number and ran it on the phone. I then made the changes to the registry as suggested elsewhere on this site and everything has worked perfectly. May be worth giving it a go. I did the de-brand & fix here SPV E650 de-Brand + Fix Pack 0.5 This includes changing the security settings to match the HTC S710. Then I ran Paul's RemoveSecurity CAB here Remove S710 application lock / install prompt. I wasn't able to run it before the de-brand&fix but it worked great afterwards. And this has appeared to work. I haven't tested it extensively but I have installed some things I couldn't install before. Note: If you don't want to de-brand Paul gives an alternative CAB that just does the fixes. Note: It may not be nessacery to run the RemoveSecurity CAB as well as the de-brand&fix but I wanted to make sure. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
