I recently bought a new unlocked T-mobile Dash off ebay and I really like it except I am unable to send text messages.  When I try it says:
"The following errors occurred while sending and receiving messages: ------ Your text message cannot be sent."  

Does anyone know a fix for this?  
I am using it with cingular prepaid, wm5.

I have a similar problem on Rogers if I don't provide the area code in the contact.

After calling Cingular and T-mobile tech support I got this fixed.  I had to: 1. change the call center service number under settings.phone  and 2. change the  SMS Service to GSM Preferred under settings.connections
