Well here on xda-devs someone posted they were able to SIM unlock HTC Artemis's I dutifully scoffed and didn't believe it, so I was given a free code which I tried and can confirm that it really works.

This is NOT a free service, outside of network operators this appears to be the only person who can do this. imei-check.co.uk can also SIM and CID unlock for £20, but requires flashing software which only works under Windows XP.

This guy gives a simple numeric code you enter direct into the Artemis.

Anyway I'm not on the payroll and I've eaten my hat enough.
