Hi Mike,

There seems to be a problem with the zip-files for the service manual on the HTC Vox.. at least I can't open them.

I've tried to unzip the files with different zip-utilities both on winxp and linux. The most comprehensive error message i've got was on linux: "zipfile claims to be last disk of multipart archive: bad zipfile offset (local header sig): 4"

Is this fixable for you? I want know if i can fix my woobly slider....its seems it gets looser every day.. irritating! ;)

thanks for the post anyway..!

Hi

I'll look into it and post back.

Mike

OK I've just tested and files are ok.

You have to download all four of the files (they are a split archive) to the same location - perhaps a folder on your desktop. When you have all four just tap on the one that has the .zip extension and extract that file. It will automatically find the other 3 it needs. If needs be download the latest free version of winzip or winrar.

Hope you get it - if not post again and I'll try to remember to drop by!

Any hope or prayer for a dismantling guide for the HTC Vox / S710?

Not so far, but I bet there are some out there. The service manual has a set of dismantling pics - so meantime it's the best I have.

Anyone with links / additional files is welcome to let me know and we can add to the lists.

I have added a link to a Kaiser (Tilt) dismantling Guide. It was originally written for those wanting to tilt the screen a full 90 degrees to use on a car dashboard. BUT it is also a useful dismantling guide. See post one.

is there any manual how to disassemble HTC MTEOR please!!! :D

Currently I don't have a step by step dismantling guide BUT -

The HTC MTeoR is also known as the HTC Breeze and there is a Service Manual listed there for the Breeze. The Service Manual shows full internal pictures taken in a logical sequence so they act as a pretty good dismantling guide. Cosmetically the cases for these phones may look slightly different under their different brandings, so don't be put of if the outer case looks slightly different from yours.

hi guys!!

Got some problem to open the files ( HTC Breeze service Manual Split.Z02 )!! Please help.

I have just tested the files and all are ok.

Have you downloaded all three files Z01 / Z02 and Z03? If when you try to extract the last file it gives you an error with Z02 then delete Z02 and download that part again. (Sometimes when downloading a bit of corruption can occur).

I have migrated the manuals to my own domain and a faster server capable of handling files without splitting them. Nobody should have any problems downloading the manuals now, as they are all in non-compressed PDF format.
