Startup and Shutdown Sounds

Hi all

I want to add startup and shutdown sounds for my HTC S710.

I tried to enter the location of my .wav file into Hkey_Current_User\ControlPanel\Sounds\SystemStart\Sound (for startup) and Hkey_Current_User\ControlPanel\Sounds\Shutdown\Sound (for shutdown). However both of them do not work.

Any idea?

I'm trying to get a startup sound for my smartphone.

I've tried the following:

HKLM,Software\HTC\Startup,Sound,0x00000000,\window s\Startup.wav

HKCU,ControlPanel\Sounds\SystemStart,Category,0x00 000000,Notification

and

HKCU,ControlPanel\Sounds\SystemStart,Category,0x00 000000,System

with

HKCU,ControlPanel\Sounds\SystemStart,Sound,0x00000 000,\windows\Startup.wav

(the spaces you see here with "window s" and the "0x00...." are only on this board and not in editing mode)

It just won't play any sound during startup. The Startup.wav is in the windows folder and when I click it it will play the sound.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Never mind. Already found the solution. It should be:

HKLM,Software\HTC\Startup,Wav,0x00000000,\windows\Startup.wav
