So, I got a Cingular 2125 for Christmas and I am still trying to completely figure it out. I went to go change my homescreen background picture and now all i have is a white screen that says "the layout you have selected cannot be" and all i have is my network and the time in the corner. i went to my settings to try and change my layout, but nothing is happening.

HELP ME... what can i do to fix my phone!

That happens to me when I use WM5torage, because I store my background images on my storage card, and when I activate WM5torage the storage card is no longer recognized by the OS.  So, maybe check to see if you are running this program, and if it has been activated?

huh... can you speak english to me please... what is WM5torage and what is OS? All my images are on my phone not on my storage card.

Also, I was also trying to change my homescreen layout from the default one also, could that have had something to do with it?

Hi, without knowing which theme and the image you are trying to load it is difficult to help you. If the image format does not match that in the xml file it will not load in the homescreen.

I was trying to change my layout from the Windows Default to the Windows Basic on my phone. I was then trying to put one of the pictures that came on my phone as my background.

If that is the case and you select 1)    Windows Basic
                                                2)    Default
                                                3)    Background image

                                           it should work OK. You can try switching your phone off/on and if it still doesn't work you have some form of corruption.

ok... so something good has happend...i am able to change just my layout to windows basic from the settings folder, but when i got to put the background image it pops up that white screen again. but when i got to my pictures folder and say put as homescreen the picture appears... anyone know why it isn't working from my setting's folder?!? you think something is corrupt?!?
