I installed tcpmp, bacuse divx 0.89 wouldnt play my avi files but I have found that tcpmp is jerky. I know I have to play around with the buffer size, but cant seem to figure it out. Any help? Guest bluntvillan Posted December 6, 2007 Report Share Posted December 6, 2007 (edited) you could try pocket vlc but i would recommend divx - which i have been able to play avi files. maybe the avi requires additional codecs? but in the end it doesn't matter what program you use - if the video has a high fps, no smartphone software can render it quick enough using the limited CPU power. if you desperately need to watch videos on the phone and majority of the videos don't play smoothely/properly then your last bet is to convert them. Also I conducted a minor speed test to see how fast the phone can read/write off the memory card and to be perfectly honest it is very slow - even on a USB 2.0 connection which made no difference at all. Edit: I sometimes use a program called IMToo to convert movies to 3gp or lower quality avi/mpg but if you don't have at least 9.6GHz processor and 2GB RAM, you'll be waiting an hour or two Edited December 6, 2007 by bluntvillan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
