When I decided to do it I was then up to 1am coding a system that determines the background based on your timezone based on your IP... to make sure you only see it on the right day ;)

The plus side is, it's easy for me to do other 'day related' logos now too :(

Haha. Now I know why...

"The Websense category "Proxy Avoidance" is filtered." - from my work's proxy server.

Guess you've changed the method of displaying the logo? I guess that's why you have the "dontblockme" in the url. ;)

I have contacts with Websense, do you want me to sort this out?

Yeah, that's what Websense is saying. Is it auto-redirecting to another site/different address? If so, it could explain why it is being blocked as "proxy avoidance".

Bad news, just checked with Websense and told them to use the correct filter (Message Board & Forums). They checked and have decided it's staying with their decision - Proxy Avoidance.

So it must be something to do with how the script is running in that URL.

Odd! Pure and simple, it's not proxy avoidance, so we can only conclude that they have no idea what they are talking about!

The script looks at your IP, resolves it to a country / region, then shows you the correct image (US dude or not). Hardly proxy avoidance!

Here's the result...

Denied twice by the web filtering team at Websense, I went straight to the tech support, explained how it works and they approved it.

And now I can see the logo. ;)

Hopefully this will help with other Websense users!
