you could always try selling the instructions for a hard reset to allow unsigned apps!

It will be interesting to see if anyone buys this, 0 bids so far.

Yeap, have seen these a few times on EBAY.

But I would assume that most ppl with an SPV wud've heard of Modaco. So I dont thinks these fellas will make any money.

Ooooh the list goes on and on and on. In sept i bought a P800 from one of lists I bought from a similar auction. Paid £350. NEVER GOT THE PHONE  Put me off the P800 ever since

Turned out there was a big P800 fraud goin on at that time on EBAY.

I was soooo p****d.

Anyways this isnt the place to talk about this stuff. Im happy with my SPV now ! ;)

I've just sent an email to ebay complaning of that auction.

Main reason being sellers are not alowed to sell text that has

been copied from sources without the authers permission.

What are the bets that they got the info from this site

Would any of us really try and screw other SPV owners members?

I would hope not.

I'm mad about this one someone needs a bloody good slap

I only bought the list from EBAY. The phone i bought from a seller mentioned in the list. So that was OUTSIDE ebay domain! And i paid thru a fund transfer service and they dont cover such loses. They only guarantee a safe transfer. BTW i paid another £30 service charges so make that £380!

personally I steer clear away from online auctions. I don't trust them... and after reading this, I will surely NEVER use EBay.

That was my only bad experience with ebay though. Since then i've had over 20 transactions without any problem. So generally its safe.

P.S. £40 inc. shipping for a 128SD !! Where else can u get that price??

Casper508, how much did you pay for the list then? I assumed you sent £350 to someone off the list for the P800, but how much did you have to bid for the list?

Always wondered if any of these so called lists that show you how to buy xxxx at £500 less then street price, have ever worked for anybody.

BTW shame on the monetary loss. My condolances mate.

Just concerned about it mate. Theres nothing worse then being ripped off. It happened to me last year selling an On digital box through Ebay. The annoying thing is Ebay didn't seem to care less about it ;)

Still got a result in the end and no money lost.

Possibly the most bizzare thing I've ever read.

I've never had any problems with E-bay (or QXL)... it's just a case of being cautious and checking out sellers feedback and details first. Saying that though, I am aware that some scams do exist on these auction sites which is not good.

If you are selling anything on ebay watch out for sudden high bids.

This happend to a friend of mine who sold one of

his 9210i on ebay.

What happens is that the person with the daft high bid wins the auction.

they then pay via paypal. (ok no problem so far)

they then insist that you sent the phone ASAP (remember it takes awhile for money to clear with paypal)

you might get the money to begin with from paypal.

Normally the address you send the phone to is in the philippines area of the world.

So my friend said ok but really held back.

He was then found out that the credit card was for some woman in LA

whereas the buyer was male.

Paypal then notified him that the card was stolenforged so the money was then withdrawn ;)

It was a good job he had a funny feeling about the seller but this is happening all the time.

We saved someone else from this fraud the other day

SO BEWARE

We now have a result ;)

Below is the reply from ebay

Thank you for taking the time to write to eBay.

Thank you for alerting us to this auction. The auction in question has

been ended by eBay.

We really appreciate the terrific help from users like yourself.

Together, we can all help keep eBay a safe and fun place to trade.

Best wishes,

Josh Kent

eBay Trust and Safety

One for us  why should people make money from all the effort

that we the put in to this site? when they have done nothing.

If you see anything like this again just let ebay know and give them a link so they can check it

out themselves.
