Well, if you're paying £15 a month, I highly doubt you have web and walk plus.. Which means you won't get HSPDA.

2). why is the camera so slow

Only in the dark, when nightmode automatically switches on, and gets very laggy. It's fine when you're in enough ambient light.

1) the setting for it is in start>settings>connections - but I'm not as familiar with TMobile's tarrifs as Lozzd clearly is so you may well not have it on your account.

yeah, i also pay 7.50 on top of the that, but that doesn't affect the price of the phone so much.

so i should be getting HSDPA but im not, and there are no options any ware to do so?

Another obvious question would be have you got HSDPA coverage?

BTW I'm on W n W standard and get HSDPA but it's an older contract, as lozzd correctly states new connections on W n W standard (£7.50) are not HSDPA enabled

how the heck did you manage to get it for £100 on a £15 a month tariff (which i'm assuming is flext 20) - its £199.99 on the website (or £169.99 with the web 'n' walk)

and yeah, you don't get HSDPA unless you fork out another £5 a month on web 'n' walk plus, but this does let you have instant messaging and use your phone as a modam, and assuming you're on the £5 a month off offer for november you might as well go for it

Seriously? HSDPA isn't included with current W n W Standard? I got my Vario II over a year ago with W n W standard and activated HSDPA no problem and have been hammering it every day since then! :( When my contract expires next March - will I be able to just continue with my current coonditions or will I be forced to take out a new contract with HSDPA disabled on standard W n W?

Cheers,

No, as long as your single G icon changes to a 3G icon you have 3G available, but as you say 'occaisonally' it doesn't sound like you are getting very good coverage

but even when its available, it doesnt do anything after that, yet i know someone living in the same area as me who has a vario 2 and 3g coverage :(

I think there is a danger that you are confusing 3G coverage and usage.

If there is a 3G signal in your location, then the large data icon will change from a G (or E with some networks using EDGE) to a 3G (or U with some networks). The small data icon above the signal strength meter shows the antenna symbol whn you are not connected to a data connection (ie when you first turn on the device). The Antenna changes to the relevant data icon (G, E, 3G or U) when you have connected to data (ie when you first open web or send/receive emails). It then stays "connected" but passive unless you disconnect from data (either by holding red end call button for three seconds or the end data button in com manager).

If you have HSDPA, the 3G icon should only change to an H only when data is actually being transferred... although it seems some networks have changed their 3G indicator to an H if the device is H enabled (just to confuse us all further).
