I have been using the Activesync to get emails off my laptop but would like to get them directly from the server when I'm out and about... I have a TytnII and I'm curious to see if this is possible. It's a corporate exchange server and I don't have a lot of details but would like to see if this can be done. (no we don't have the new server that has push technology...I did ask that!) Guest Neil5459 Posted December 13, 2007 Report Share Posted December 13, 2007 You do need the correct version of the Server software- Exhange Server 2003 SP2 for Push Email and ES2007 for HTML Push Email. So, if your company has ES2003 SP2, your IT dept should be able to enable the correct security certificates and give you the login credentials to enter in the Activesync Server config on the PPC Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The good news is that if he has outlook web access then he can sync ota anyway - just without directpush. Enter your owa address in the exchange server address box, then your username and password and domain if required... the only potentially difficult bit is installing the certificate on your device. Simplest way with IE7, is to import the cer file to your pc, make a copy of it and then use activesync to paste it to your your device and then simply click on it to install it. P I think I understand now...I appreciate the help, I was able to access the emails through the server...thanks for all your help! I appreate it...by the way the TYTNII is an outstanding phone!
