It's 'Free App Friday' again over at Handango... and this week Handango are offering a free copy of Pocket Informant for Windows Mobile (worth $24.95)!

The applicaiton is detailed here at PocketInformant.com, some of which i've included below.

It's a great app, it's free... what are you waiting for! :(

Pocket Outlook is a decent PIM for those who simply need to know what's going on "Today". But what if you need to see past that? How about next week? The rest of or next Month? Or if you're dealing with a number of tasks or simply want to see what tasks are due on what day? How about making journal entries? You won't get anywhere with Pocket Outlook.

As the winner of the Pocket PC Magazine Best PIM award for the last few years (including 2007) Pocket Informant vastly improves upon the functionality of Pocket Outlook to match and exceed what's available even with the desktop Outlook while keeping complete and uncompromising compatibility with Outlook. 5 Calendar Views, Notes, Tasks, Contacts, Journal, and so much more with beautiful and functional interface. And amazingly even with all this power Pocket Informant is even easier to use than Pocket Outlook is!

How can Pocket Informant help you?

Pocket Informant can manage simple appointments and tasks and grow with your needs to handle even the most complex situations. Change categories of multiple items at once. Create appointments or tasks from a contact. Drag and drop appointments from one day to another. Convert appointments into tasks; drag a task to the calendar to convert it to an appointment. These just a few things you can do. All of them are tucked away for when you need them and out of your way when you don't.

The best part about Pocket Informant is that it is fully compatible with all applications and services that work with Pocket Outlook. We sync with ActiveSync and Exchange Server ActiveSync. We work with Pocket Outlook plugins. We sync with WebIS Mobile Sync and work with Today plugins for quick viewing of your info.

Pocket Informant is designed as a turnkey solution - with no advanced setup or steep learning curve.  Should you want to enhance your experience, please visit our extensive help and support sections and general Reference.

This is a great app and there is also suposed to be a new version coming out soon.
Webis normally give great discounts to upgraders too, so this would be well worth a download if you have not already got it, and then obtain a cheap upgrade.

Unlimited download Home Broadband, at upto 20Mbps for  £7.50 per month, BT line required. pm me to find out more.
Only available to forum users

Bother! I missed it.
Any chance of having just one thread for the free apps so we can subscribe and get an email when one is added?

I don't get any error messages but it certainly hasn't installed itself :D
The answer is to get the installer directly from WebIs :
http://www.pocketinf...tab_id=download
Downloaded the International English version and the registration key from Handango was accepted

Not a lot of use without a reg key tho. Thanks anyway.

Or just check handango on fridays to see what app they are giving away and for what platform.
The next free PPC app will probably be there in 4 weeks after we get free palm, blackberry and symbian apps.
