How to enable cell info display?

I've tried everyting in settings->phone->Channels but nothing happend.

try adding a channel number (for example for me in Italy is 50)

How can I find the cannel number?

Where to search?

I need it for Telenor Serbia.

Most phone companies don't broadcast cell info so unless they tell you which channel it's on I doubt if they do.

Here in the UK one company (I think it was Orange) used to give cheaper calls to people in an adjoining cell so used to broadcast cell info but I believe none of them do now.

I have with the same SIM card cell info when I use it with other phones, mpx220, Nokia N70, Nokia 7373, only with Vox I don't know how to enable it.

start -> settings -> phone -> channels

enable channels

then menu -> edit channels

then menu -> add

description you can put what you want but channel number should be 50

and thats it ...

Maybe someone could help me with other issue with brodcast on Vox

Each time i recieve new broadcast message my phone lights up ... is there any possibility to tweak it so that it won't do that ?!?
