Hi at all and happy new year!

One short question: Is the language Pack XT9 (e.g. for German) available for HTC Wings (S730)?

Thanks for responses...

Greetings Smiliman :(

I've used the CAB file for HTC S710 (Vox) and it work fine! Thanks to Paul!

I have installed eT9 for Vox too, but I experience one problem when using the qwerty keyboard: the secondary characters (Fn -> blue characters) on the upper line are off line by one place: if you push for example the first key = "@" you get "," on the screen; push the second one = "!" and you get the first = "@" and so on. Anyone has the same problem? Maybe it is caused by a different keyboard layout of the Vox compared to Wings and Paul could make a small correction to have this working perfectly on Wings?

I was able to solve this issue by editing the registry key : HKLM_SoftwareTegic_eT9_IME_KeyboardLayouDlls: and changing the value 00000708 from "eT9.Vox.0408.kmap.txt" to "eT9.Wings.0408.txt" and 000007FF from "eT9.Vox.0408.kmap.txt" to "eT9.Wings.0408.txt" and now everything works like a charm!

Thank you very much Paul! (As a Belgian I really needed to add French eT9 to my Dutch S730!)

Hi jvlerick

Thanks for your posting. I've tried out your solution - works find but: I have a HTC S730 english ROM pack and changed my XT9 configuration to german language. I think your values in the two registry keys are wrong and the following settings are correct:

Registry: HKLM_Software_Tegic_eT9_IME_KeyboardLayouDlls

- Key: 00000708, Value: eT9.Wings.0408.kmap.txt

- Key: 000007FF, Value: eT9.Wings.0408.kmap.txt

Now it works fine... thanks a lot!

Hi Smiliman,

Oops! Sorry for this typing error and thanks a lot for correcting it!

That are indeed exactly the keys as I entered them too.

Best regards

Maybe this topic can be of any help: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=853734 (Post #48 by daveke)

"Vox" should be replaced by "Wings" for the S730 as you probably know.

Greetings

Hi,

I can't get the normal numpad to work, when I have the keyboard opened.

Can you guide me on? Is that a simple registry value change?

Thanks

What about Rose (S740)?

I installed the Vox language pack for xt9, I renamed the registry to Rose instead of Vox, but keys with FN are not working.

Any idea? Is there a specific XT9 language pack for HTC S740?

Thanks!
