Basically there's a proposed class action  against HTC in their failure to provide the necessary drivers to fully  exploit the LCD driver on the Wings. In essence, your phone is crippled as new, right out of the box. You can read the articles here:

Please make it a point to call HTC and complain about the driver problem. Please take the time to submit the story to Slashdot, your favorite news outlets, and mention the problem to your friends that have the affected phones and ask them to call HTC or their carrier as well.
