Guest frankz1
I am new to smartphones but not PDAs. I have a very old Vodafone phone (Siemens A65). Will the SIM card work in a smartphone? I know the I do not want data usage, that will be done via WiFi. I am thinking of getting an unlocked Tytn II, am I right in saying it wont work at all if no SIM is inserted? Will it work just as a phone with my old SIM card? Sorry if this has been asked before. Guest Confucious
The Tytn II is a PPC with phone capabilities - it's not a SmartPhone. It should work as a PPC without a SIM in it or with your old Vodahone SIM - but why? What's the point, why not just get a non phone PPC if that's what you want? Guest Confucious
As you asked if it would work with no SIM I assumed you didn't want to use it as a phone - my mistake. Any SIM should work but data is a must - WiFi drains the battery a lot, so be careful. 3G is a lot easier :)
