Hi! I have Motorola Q9h. Skype gets connected, but then it disconnects after 1-2 mins (and can't connect at all later). MSN Messenger doesn't connect at all (I'm using this username: [email protected]).

I use Fring (a free app), which combines several instant messenging protocols, including Skype.  I believe it does MSN as well.

Other friends of mine use Agile Messenger (which is not free) to great success.

If you want to use pure skype, choose the Skype for VDA, that seems to work best on my Q9h, but I have barely used it, since I liked Fring better.

Number 1, welcome to the forums,
Number 2, It won't work with your gmail account
Number 3 I know how to get skype working now

You have to hack the reg
Easy way and some tweaks too.

Install GPSTest.sp.CAB
Restart phone.
That was the easy part.
Stop Media net from function from going dormant
1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA} MEdia Net Set AlwaysOn to 1
2. Reboot Phone
3. Enjoy skype, mine works now too.
