Can S710 print or connect to GPS receiver via Mini USB ?

Has anybody tried to use the mini USB port to print a document or to input data on the S710 ?

I am trying to get a normal USB Pharos GPS receiver to work on the phone.

I bought a normal size male USB to mini male USB adaptor ( In one end I plug the receiver and I plug the other end in the phone), but nothing happens, the receiver should light itself on if the HTC mini USB was meant to do other things than charge the battery, Activsync the phone and enable the headset to work.

I tried, with my very small knowledge to configure the comm ports and so on, with no result.

Would there be a way to bypass this?

I know that I could buy the bluetooth docking station for my receiver, but as I am not shure of the result of the display of the navigation program, I want to check it out with my obsolete USB receiver first.

Printing via USB way could be interesting for some fellows.
