Just wondering if there are any firm details on when and whether the p750 will be picked up by operators. I know expansys is offering the phone with contracts but i'd prefer to purchase direct from o2 or TMob or at least Carphone Whorehouse. Went into the o2 shop and got told i should be buying an iPhone.

i called o2 yesterday keen to see if they were planning on carrying this device and was told they have no plans to in the near future
its upgrade time for me and im torn between buying the P750 from expansys or going with a HTC S730 via o2
The cost over 12 months between the 2 options is quite alot (phone+tarriff) so as you can imaging i would have been very happy to get the phone on a subsidised contract.

I have to ask why? I can't see that the customer service would be any better. I doubt it will be offered by one of the big 4 as it's not from one of their approved manufacturers.

@highlorddave - before spending all that money, have you worked out what your requirements are in a phone? The P750 and S730 are very different products - one is a full blown WM Pro "Pocket PC" with touchscreen and GPS, and one is a basic WM Standard "Smartphone" with a Qwerty keyboard. I'd be very sure of what I want to use it for before signing up to another 12-18 month contract. Or, if you want the O2 contract, maybe you could get the best subsidised device they do for free and flog it on eBay to offset the cost of a SIM free handset?

i have a hermes for my work use and the vox for my personnel use, if i were to upgrade to the P750 i would essentially be able to get down to using just one device, but if i go the S730 route i would still be keeping my hermes for buisness use.

Its a matter of waying up the cost vs practicallity of having a single device.
