BlackJack 2 Wake up on email-can you disable?

Just getting used to my new BJ 2.  I am using Exchange push email.  Everytime that I get a new email, the device 'wakes up' and the screen turns on.  Is there any way to disable that?

If you dont like that then tethering via bluetooth is going to piss you off. I dont believe you can change it.

I don't teather.  I'm just worried about potential impact on batt life

Id suggest switching the backlight timeout to 5secs or something, thats the only thing i can think of. Sorry. Maybe locking the phone when not using it would help? LostSoul, What do you think, masta.
