Windows Media screen problem **Update**

Hi,

I have assigned a key to the toggle screen when listening to music via A2DP, so that the display turns off.

However when the next song is played the screen comes back on!!

The backlight settings dont allow for the backlight to be completely turned off. The lowest is "Power Save"

This setting dims the backlight after 10 secs but when the song changes it returns to the default brightness for 10 secs.

Any advice?

I have found that locking the device (ie holding down the end call key) prevents the backlight from firing up between songs. The backlight is still on all the time but is alot dimmer than normal.

I have also tried a freeware program called "Screen Switch". This turns off the screen so is useful for that at least - however with regards to playing songs it still fires the screen back on between songs.

105 views but no replies so either no-one is using the i780 for listening to music via A2DP OR there is no solution yet to this problem.

In two weeks i will be able to test your problem and check if it happens to me too.

In the meantime, we have to wait for someone else to complain about it too or to find a solution. Have fun :D

Use pocketplayer, it´s much better. You can configure the equalizer, listen to shoutcast etc. AND you can also press the power button to turn of the screen which you cant do in WMP cause it stops the music...

Well, this would be for the i780 specific then, because with my ETEN X800 when I turn the power button off, WMP does NOT turn off, but with my i780 it does....strange..
