I've been searching for a headphone adaptor for my i780 without luck and so finally I massacred my i780 headset today and made my own adaptor from it. I bought one of these guys from Maplins:

If anybody else is interested in doing the same, the following wires from the i780 headset will be of interest to you:

Speaker left +: Purple wire
Speaker right +: Black wire
Speaker ground: Cream/beige wire
