The only "revolutionary" thing in the new iPhone is the 3G... The rest is the same. They could (probably) added MMS, Video, a better camera (and for that matter, a forward facing camera) and some other things, but they didn't. I'm going with they're trying to get even more money before they release iPhone 3, with some decent kit and make all the Apple fan boys (or those so stunned by the low price tag that somehow works out more expensive than the last one...) buy yet another piece of iCra*...
That's a bit harsh. I have various win mob devices, a Centro and an iPhone. They're all good devices with good and bad points and one or another will be more suitable than the rest for different people. Each to their own, if anyone doesn't think the iPhone has some very very good points then they need to wake up, get a grip on their winmob fanboyism and smell the coffee. At the moment winmob devices are superior in their feature specs and application wise but the latter will most certainly change when 3rd party apps get sold. 35% of Fortune 500 co's are developing apps for the iPhone....how many are doing the same for winmob? Windows is on version 6...the iPhone is version 2. This innovation is great for everybody as it will make our devices better and easier to use and for that, we should all be cheering!!
Me, I'm pining for the next treo 800 or 850 or I might even get myself a wee HP ipaq 900 instead and I will most certainly get the 3g iPhone too. The iPhone is great to use and what it does it does better than any other device out there at the moment...music, video, pics...in other words it does what I need it to do, on a mobile device, extremely well.
