Hi all,

Once I connected the phone and loaded it with i900BOHH5 rom:

but the process stoped suddenly and asked for reboot, my i900 could not wake up, nor power on any more. Please help. please!

I had upgraded easily to DXHH3 using the modem and the updater on XP m/c.

I have down loaded the HI for the two sites mentioned here, 2 times each, and whenever I run the 1st part of the down load, it gives an error at 78% exactly, saying an error CFC has occurred .

Yet at the end I have the whole 143,842 .

Stopping Norton anti virus , hard resetting the device ,running the modem and the updater , soft resetting the mobile, pushing the start button,immediately I get an error message and nothing happen.

This has been done 4 times.

Since most of the people here have used the same down loaded file, I really do nor know what is wrong on my update.

Please note that the problem occurred when unzipping the 3 files.

Can some one help ? or give me a link to a complete one piece updater ?

I always have "cfile.Open failed".

I tried with no firewall, with updater on C: and D: drive, reboot PC, reboot Omnia, everything....

Someone can help me ?? ;)

Then I just tried to run the first extract from part1-rar. But it would not ever recognize the Omnia and even stopped Activesync from running. I am at a lost now.

I searched for instructions for using the rar files but could not find any.

So any help out there?

Ron it's a spanned archive - all 3 rars extract different parts of the same file into 1 whole file, not 3 different files with the same name. Just click the first rar and it will extract all 3, as long as they're located in the same folder. After that you can wipe the rars and proceed with upgrade as you did before

Hi

I have had my Omnia for a couple of weeks now. UK T-mobile 8gb PDA: i900XXHH7/B0HH5 phone: i900B0HH2. I have SBP mobile shell 2 installed (love that) and Tomtom using Gpsgate2.5 (OK but lock is a bit off sometimes)

I have had pretty poor battery life since new - fully charge overnight and with even fairly light use (and I turn off all GPRS/HSPDA connections as I exit programs) by night time there may be just 20% remaining.

Has anyone successfully upgraded to HI1 from same firmware as I have? I have downloaded the HI1 exe file and it looks like it will just run in XP (using vmware on crappy vista) without resorting to Grandprix etc. Is it OK to just run it or are there other steps required for the move from B0HH5? Does this update include the radio HI2 or does the radio have to be updated later?

This is a fantastic forum and I spend TOO much time browsing it!

Hi Guys...it would be nice if somebody could hlp me...and by the way i dont think that XX stands for germany...cause like in my phone thre stands XGHG...so where is the latest german rom?  :wacko:

im just a nub to the whole wm thing...a was using n95...so i need some pro guy who can give me and other germans an faq ;) ...how to upgrade from:

PS: what is PDA and what is Phone? wich one is the firmware?!

I have found the answer. The Updater program message box says "Turn off the device" and "Turn on the device", but what you really need to do is hit the reset button while connected to Activestink. Thanks Paul for this in your HH1 instructions. I now have DXHI1 loaded.

A tip I want to share - I have done several of these upgrades from G2 thru I1 and I first remove both Sim card and SD card, then do hard reset, then start process.

Now a question - do I really want to load the I2 Radio? What do I get that's better?
