Any apps that show up the storage card when you connect the phone to a PC ( or Mac) so the host machine doesn't need Active Sync installed first?

wm5torage and card export II spring to mind...

Warning! The phone is very very slow when used like this when compared to say putting the MicroSD card direct into a reader. It's only marginally better than using Active Sync. OK when you can't use a reader but why wouldn't you?

If you have a connection like this you can have a Drive letter.

If you have a drive letter you can get information about files, run them from the card drive and use lots of little utilities like synctoy, batch files and robocopy.

And if you don't have activesync installed, you can access your files. :D

Also very handy for copying files from machines whereyou can't install Activesync and that don't have a card reader or do but only have SD and your phone has MicroSD and you don't have an adapter with you, eg when your round a friends house or at work.

It is only USB 1 but still a very handy utility!

This is the one thing I use it for, but I carry my cardreader with me every where anyway as it's tiny.

But you get a drive letter when you put it on a card reader too. And you can right click properties too. I run them using pocket controller anyway.

I don't have a Kaiser - with other phones it's not so easy so this is invaluable - also handy if you don't have your card reader with you.

Plus MicroSD cards are tiny so easy to lose. Whereas I'm enlikely to lose a USB cable (or care about losing it). :D
