I'm not a big fan of all these icons and stuff. What I want is maybe a small clock with the date, and if I have a text message. (eg. text messages (1). I just want to see my wallpaper for the most part, and is there any way so that the words are not highlighted when selected. (For example if I use the windows basic theme, the top part is all highlighted in blue, so I can't see the top of my wallpaper. I just want maybe the text itself to be different from the others so I can tell it is highlighted) any help thanks!

PS. I'm really crappy at XML or whatnot, basically I'm a noob and can't do this myself

Hy! maybe you should get Ruttensoft HomeScreen Designer 2007 and build up yourself a custom Homescreen, thre, you have the option to move things like time and date, also you can choose what to show up on homescreen, also you can make the upper bar transparent. I made myself one of these, i only had to make 2 wallpapers, one for portrait, one for landscape, and edit the .xml after it was ready, adding a line that mentions the use of the second wallpaper in case you slide out the keyboard. I used one of the premade xml-s from windows mobile, opened with notepad and copied that line, and modified the wallpaper name eg: wall LS.jpg for the second (landscape). I'm not expert in xml editing, but if you are atentive, you can get it to work . I hope my advice helped. Have a good day! (I am still hoping Vox will get WM 6.1 official update )
