That’s cool And now staying with i900DXHI1 for looks the best firmware for me. :( Do we have some tweaks like: 1 CPU “like overclocking” 2 Registry Tweaks “like software optimization” 3 Does someone done custom firmware for OMNIA “like for HTC you can see 100 of tweaked firmware’s on web site” 4 Touch screen tweaks “this is the main problems for me Because sometimes I need to press 3 times or more to active the program“ Spb Benchmark OMNIA Marvell 624MHz CPU CPU Index: 1924.42 ;) HTC Diamond Qualcomm MSM7201A 528MHz CPU Index: 2185.87 Hope to see some tweaking works for Omnia soon :wacko: cheers! Power LED must stay bright when video recording, currently it dims by half 3. Flashlite 3++ must works on the device, currently fl2.1 and this development very slow 4. USB charging must work via any USB ports (PC, wall, car), currently only PC but slow 5. So in this time I press again touch screen maybe 3 times because I think I did not press right 2 I got T-Mobile Compact III flashed witch tweaked rom and when you tray to open program its doing the same time not delaying before opening. Its was before when it has original T-Mobile rom OMNIA in my using got delay before opening software. These couple second make me crazy When opening contact its like little stop refreshing and then 1-2 second ok Its not the so big problem because I can wait - but its feels like i got slower OMNIA the my Compact III "200 MHZ" Where is the power of 624 MHZ ????? I have no idea how large the pagefile is, but my guess is that it is too small. Keeping programs open seems to slow things down a little I am not sure. It seems that many operations are IO bound, not CPU bound. Part of this may be due to the number of apps I stick on My Memory rather than the phones internal memory. If we could unlock the ROM we could clean it out and store more useful stuff on the phones ROM. My Omnia is fast. Here are some of the things that I've done. I do not know which makes the most difference (if any) Setting my caches larger makes a big difference (Advanced Config you can trivially the file system cache to 8 Meg), but not on the first launch - ideally it will stay in the cache on subsequant launches. Within a program, repeatedly accessed files will be cached. If you backup "My Memory" and refoimat it with a cluster size of 32k it seems faster. With SKTools (or manually) - Kill many of the startup programs that you don't need - Kill many of the services that you don't need. - Clean your notification Queue regularly. - Clean the registry - Defrag the registry - Make the aslog read only. With Pocket Mechanic you can do a some of the things that SKTools does. You can also increase the Cluster Cache, and the Fat Cache, but I am not sure if this makes a big difference. Hope that helps. So someone can test as well We can compare the different betweens the firmwares ------------------------------------------------------------------------- TomTom this is a small config "like tweak" i900DXHI1 TomTom 7.45 working alone I trayed i900DXHI2 and i900DXHI3 but without GPS gates no posibility to run TomTom GPS satelites. i900DXHI1 My settings External GPS Com 2 port Software Com 9 9600 bit Hardware TomTom 7.45 Other Omega >9600 bit > Com 2 > 15 Second to catch satelites and ready to work Before first time opening TomTom I downloaded Enchaced GPS Just for first time Same time my 3G conection was alive before run TomTom first Time i dont know maybe this helps as well. You know, Omnia can record 120fps in QVGA like LG viewty which far less CPU cability compare Omnia. 2. Really have you tried it, i think for power saving measure but Sony Ericsson phones able to make its LED stay bright when recording video. 3. I think flashlite3.1 very vital since most internet sites using flash 9 that can be viewed by Nokia phones with flashlite3.1. And even HTC made WM phones can run Skyfire and OperaMobile with flashlite3. Omnia still lack in this development. 4. Wiselink sounds cool, can it TVOut and charging the phone at the same time? 5. Youtubeplayer only dedicated to youtube, not porntube or xtube etc. Thats the reason skyfire must run on Omnia so we can forget about all these 3rd party player. But later, LG released an update which made it record VGA @ 30fps. All they did is they made it record in Divx codec so its less demanding on the CPU. Can you do that for the omnia as well? That would make heck lotta difference. I cant believe the omnia by itself can't handle VGA @ 30fps? Is there anyway we can make the omnia encode in Divx. That would definitely do the trick. Do you think this is worth posting to experts at XDA? And yeah, whats the best overclocking program for the omnia, and what is the highest stable speed you've achieved? I think fl3.1 will definitely come in the official ROM which is to come in the next few weeks, since noone has been successful in installing fl3.1 as fl2.0 is cooked in the ROM. Anyway its is not tweak but just system setting When i made the benchmark and compared the test result I realized the main system accessibility files is more slowly then other phones. ------------------------------------------ About GPS TomTom 7.45 i posted before that everythink is ok. But when i trayed to use today its conected to 3g data and I just disabled the conection and TomTom 7.45 does not catch the satelites. So later I alowed TomTom to conect to 3G and after 20 second all satelites has been catched and everythink works. When i use my bluetooth wireless and answer a call, everything is fine until the screen goes black.. what i mean by black is, it dims first after 20secs then goes on standby.. After that my bluetooth disconnects and i cant hear until i on the screen again and connection is restored.. This is same for alarms also.. It does go on if the screen is off.. Any solutions? I bought my Omnia in Denmark 2 weeks ago, on the first day it touched our shores my phone is very fast specially if compared with the HTC touch pro I had before. I have no problem seeing you tube vids either BUT come to think about it may be because I always use explorer and have iGoogle as start page, when I tried to access you tube from the Opera browser I remeber I also got no joy. This omnia is the best phone I have used so far and I tried all main touch screen devices with the exception of BB storm and the HTC 4G which is sold only in russia, I have been disappointed also by the acclaimed HTC touch HD (I can't stand that touch flo BS. My touch screen is VERY sensible and very precise too (specially if compared to HTC's), the mini mouse pad,once you get used to it, is genial, and as a modem for my netbook is excellent. Maybe only the N95 8gb was as good as Omnia , but it was not touch screen and the Nsuite pc syncing software was a bloated nightmare. Now that I installed Cyberon speed voice dial (MS voice command don't seem to work on the Omnia) is nearly perfect. the only fault I can find with it is the impossibility to start a call from a BT headset but I still hope Samsung will feel our pain and do something about it. One question: If you would have to suggest to a new Omnia user the most important software/app to add to his new phone , what would you suggest him?
