(Update: 24 Nov 08) Custom ROM: Manilla2D with Alternate Landscape (DXHK1/M2D04)

hey guys

im trying to install the new rom and im not noob i know what im doing but when i sync. than i start up the i900_M2D04_PaS08.exe and than my sync close and than i restart my phone and the updater says this:

timeout--

No PDA Device Found ... close device

timeout--

No PDA Device Found ... close device

timeout--

No PDA Device Found ... close device

timeout--

No PDA Device Found ... close device

PDA Device not found.

i searched minimal for 6 hours and found alot of other errors but not this one so can somebody please help me?

1. Try to cool down ur phone if it is too hot.

2. re-install the samsung modem drivers.

3. reset the phone a few times.

4. reboot ur system.

For some reason I'm not being alerted when I receive new emails. Have both sound and vibrate checked in settings but it seems that when I receive one it just automatically opens up and is saved as read. On M2D02.

Anyone else had problems?

I've same problem on M2D04 phone never vibrates and alarm never ringing(i set up the alarm on home tab screen, its never ringing/vibrates while phone awake or standby mode.) (I hoped that 1 day it'll wake me up) :D

How can i fix this? Any ideas?

This is an old thread (and PaSSoa is not longer active).. last update is 24/11/09 :D

I suggest you use a newer rom. There are plenty available

Still using this ROM as it suits my needs very well.

Could anyone suggest a similar, more up-to-date ROM to give a whirl?

... or is it a case of 'if it aint broke, don't fix it'?

Yes, just copy the whatever-theme.zip to \Program Files\M2DC\Themes, open Manilla2Dconfig.exe, you may want to backup default theme/settings first. Then, go to themes click add, search for the whatever-theme.zip and click ok. After that Apply Theme and you're on your way. Change the htchomesettings.xml to fit the Omnia resolution and you're done.

Not too sure if it can be done on Visita, but I think it throws out some problems. There is no way to install FlashLite3.1 as the original ROM had FL2.0, only way to use FL3.5 is with a cooked ROM :)

hi ...can you teach me how to Change the htchomesettings.xml to fit the Omnia resolution ?

i have installed the theme but it only fit half screen .how to make it show in full screen ?
