Hi folks,

When bringing my phone out of standby I noticed that it seems to reconnct to wifi, suggesting that it isn't connected while in standby and doing things like Activesync-ing.

Does the Wireless LAN power setting for best performance prevent this? To try and save on data charges.

This is the normal behavior for Windows Mobile.  WiFi will zap the battery very quickly, so it is assumed that you want to turn it off when you are not using it.  There is an option in AdvancedConfig to disable this.

Thanks for that. I noticed it makes the phone very warm, so I'll probably leave it off.

tried advanced config however it still powers down the wifi during standby.

On advanced config, the dialog box about the wifi on standby mode is checked. But still the phone turns wifi off.
