[Conrad Ha]

can an i908 flash an i900 rom?? it freezes!!!

I was trying to flash the i900 j5 rom to my i908(bought in hong kong)
but it stops and freezes at 0% when downloading eboot.

I restarted it and everything was fine just like I didn't updated it.

I followed pauls steps to change my machine to singapore already.

any one can help with that???

I flashed my i908 rom to an early version rom i900DXHG3 first. from there, you should be able to upgrade to i900 rom that you wanted (plus check the preconfiguration has been set to "singapore"). This works for my omnia.

device stuck through night, in the morning i had to remove batery and put it back to be able to start omnia, by day it freezes 2times, now it is totaly out, black screen, wont start, first, at least charge diod light, last matter of life was when i connect it to pc, turn on omnia, samsung logo appears for few seccond, that it turn off itself. no matter of life since then.
the story is, that i flashed i908ZHHH2_ENG.exe rom to my i900, thats the problem prolly, flashing i908 rom to i900 model.. this rom can be found among roms for i900 here: http://www.modaco.co...re-version-fix/

looks like, i have to visit service department, damn, seccond day with omnia!

1. Download i908ZHHH2_Eng and i900DXHH1 from here

Remember to install samsung xp drivers and activesync first.

2. If you have xp sp3 directly click open i908ZHHH2_Eng and follow the instructions for flashing.


No editing of registry
No messing about with preconfigurations and number codes
No Hxdex the updater

Just connect open and update with the above updaters. Once you do that you can update with any custom ROM.

I've tried Tarils and Shokkas Roms both work well.    

Just directly install i900DXHH1 and you can then install any custom rom.

Thanks for the tip! This FINALLY worked!
I was trying to update a friends omnia and had the DZHH2 installed .. (originaly it was russian? dont really know ...)

Anyway.. I downloaded the DXHH1 ROM from http://www.mediafire...php?l5pzmdeihfw as mentioned in Pauls Pinned post "Incorrect software" on the mainpage

Now I can happily flash any ROM i want to to his device
He'll be happy for sure!

All the steps you need is listed in the above posts what more do you want?

If your running vista make sure you install VMware first then XP sp3.

I can run Sector's rom and khuanchai's rom on my Taiwan Omnia.

So you are saying, is that i can directly update to one of the cooked WM 6.5 ROM  ?
I have now running WM 6.1 (ZHHH2)

PS.. I have never flashed b4, so i'm just trying to win some good info from you guys...

I mean without good info, it can be easy to brick the phone....

i have also a I908 with te ZHHH2 version, did anyone succed in upgrading it to i900 latest version?If yes pls help, it will be my first time in flashing a phone so....

I flashed with i900DXHH1 and it works, nice and clean.After that you can use any soft you want i choose DXIA5.Thank you for the help
