Guest dr_nick
can someone tell me what video formats the touch HD is supposed to play out-of-the-box? mine wont play mpeg or xvid files i have copied accross from my computer, and i'm sure i've hear reports of others playing them natively and not needing converting? (i have tested the files on my pc and they run fine) regards dr_nick edit: i have managed to get it to play videos recorded on my kaiser, to good effect (though not compatible with autorotate) Edited December 9, 2008 by dr_nick
Guest theroadwarrior
Mp4 videos seem to play in the 'album' app. Windows media player seems less capable than i remember from previous devices, but i might be wrong. That should play mpeg2 and i've found it'll play the DRM BBC iplayer files, although has to download a licence for it to work. I'm currently using divx mobile player, which seems ok. I'd like to try core player, but i've heard it doesnt make use of the hardware acceleration so may not give any speed boost over divx.
Guest dr_nick
divx mobile player works fine, thanks. doesn't seem to work with 2gyrator2 as is 90deg out all the time, but I can psort that without issues. seems a shame though that since this is supposed to be a multimedia device, it should just play media. i shouldn't have to download 3rd party players and codecs... Guest dr_nick
found a modded version of TCPMP here which, i think, works better than divx mobile (esp with screen rotate)
