FM Radio Through Bluetooth Headphones...

Hey all, got my touch HD this morning, after having a little play before leaving it in peace to charge I realised that the HTC headphones supplied, like usual, aren't exactly anything to shout about! But I would really love to be able to divert the radio through my much loved Bluetooth headphones via a2dp. I understand that the HTC headset needs to be plugged into the 3.5 jack to act as an antenna, but do you think that there would be some way to divert the audio? I connected the htc headset through the jack port, then paired my bt headphones, got the icon come up on the top of the screen, but nothing, even when I tried selecting the option to hear the radio on loudspeaker, I thought it might have routed it through the bt but not!

Anybody cracked it? And by the way, IF you actually managed to understand ANY of that, I probably owe you a pint! :(

Tom

The short answer is NO :(

It appears that there is no way to route the FM Radio sound via Bluetooth, no matter whether an antenna is plugged in or not. Possibly the FM Radio chip is simply hardcodeded to output to either earphones or speaker, which can't be intercepted.

Typical oversight. It would have been nice if they could supply a 3.5mm plugged "antenna" and route the audio over BT.
