Installed the ZHIB1 over qbus05M and didnt notice any difference. Then took the BUIB1 from that fake IB5 and did the same, again noticed nothing.

i908 ZHIB1 here

When you flash and the phone boots, your omnia will ask you for a code to allow authorisation to make the necessary changes.

I use to build my ROMs with it, and it has never asked me for a code??

I cant answer that. All I know it that it asked me for an authorisation code to make the changes to my phone.

I tried 0000 at first and it didnt work but 1234 did the trick.

mmmm.. pb is that phone rom does not "change" anything in your phone... your phone just uses it once flashed !
my guess is, it was something else, my vote goes to a bluetooth accessory :(

No I dont use bluetooth at all on my device and bluetooth was off at the time.

Once I installed, it specifically said authorisation code to make changes to the phone.

You get the same message if you send wap settings to your phone from the samsung site.
