Hi there i have a vodafone branded omnia with version:
PDA : i900XXHJ6/ACHJ2
Phone : i900BUHJ1

and was wondering if its possible to update to the latest official DXIA5 firmware?
As the vodafone is quite honestly rubbish!

I'm on the same ROM as you and would like to know also.

I would like to try either the official DXIA5 or a custom ROM like qbus LITE, but unsure if i have to upgrade to another 1st or can go to this straight away?

You have to update to DXHK3 first TO BE SAFE.

Go here, and update to DXHJ1
http://www.modaco.co...re-version-fix/

Then update to DXHK3.

After you got HK3, it is safe now to upgrade to DXIA.

I recommend Taril's ROMs. :( It's like the official with some enhancements/tweaks.

I have the same FW as you. I'm also using Vista, not sure if you're using XP or not. So far, I haven't found a way to get DXIA5 on the Omnia yet.

I've tried changing my version in Control Panel to all the ones I can find, have even changed the device to Singapore through preconfiguration, I'm still stuck.

If you manage to find a way, please post here! I'll let you know if I manage it.

Hi fisheradam,
I am using XP, I called Samsung(crap Customer Services), they told me that because I am on contract with Orange, there is no FW update for my phone, only for Sim Free Phones. I am now confused.

Perfectly uploaded the new FW to the phone 20 mins ago but seeing as it's 5:18 am I'll wait until tomorrow to explain how I got it done. In short follow http://www.modaco.co...a-the-solution/ to the letter. Download the HK3 xp version and break it down, install it then upgrade using to the official Samsung Vista upgrade.
