I've found the place where they are stored, figured out to name them the same as the bookmarked url, but the ico files that display in favourites of opera cannot be opened or edited on PC, no ico creator or converter recognizes them as valid ICO files. If I convert any image to usual ico file, they are not getting displayed in opera favs... Just a blank box instead of the default star.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest voornaam3884 Posted April 8, 2009 Report Share Posted April 8, 2009 Those icons probably will be replaced once you delete them by a new one from the site you visite, cause that is happening here when i delete them. Otherwize a work around would be to visit sites, and collect those icons, if you find good looking once. Put the special icon you want to convert into the root of your own website e.g. mywebsite.com/favicon.ico goto your site, opera will put them in the \application data\opera9\images\mywebsite.ico directory. Now you have opera made them converted. " Works like a charm! Just have to rename the converted ico files to my link, and it's all. Now have icons for all bookmarks. Thanx again!
