No internet after installing WMWifiRouter

I'm really new to my Omnia i910 and Windows Mobile in general, but I'm somewhat computer savy.

I studied up here on the forums and finally got up the courage to flash to CC20 and everything seemed fine. I installed IntShrUI and was able to tether to my laptop with USB, then I got greedy and installed WMWifiRouter and was able to tether wirelessly (Yeah!!! but the connection is still a little flaky.) But now I've found that none of my Omnia's internet functions are working, i.e. Opera browser, Internet Explorer, Weatherbug, GoogleEarth.

I found a recent thread that sounds alot like the problem I'm having, he claimed to have learned through trial and error that it was caused by installing IntShrUI while ActiveSync was running. When he did a clean installed of IntShrUI without ActiveSync running it worked fine for him. His thread was http://www.modaco.com/content/i910-specifi...aked-rom-fixed/

So since I'm such a noobie, does anyone have advice on how to fully uninstall the IntShrUI so I can run it again "for the first time", but this time without ActiveSync running?... or alternatively, are you aware of anything else that might be causing this problem with a proposed solution?

Thanks to "Budabing103" who was much more thorough and explained the problem much better than I ever could! :D

Do you have WMwifirouter running when you try to access Opera on your phone? You can't run both of them at the same time. When running WMWifiRouter you do not have data access on your phone, it's all going through your WiFi. Try doing a Soft Reset and see if your data works again on you phone. if it does that is your problem. Well, not a problem that's just the way it works. Since you flashed CC20 I'd highly recommend one of the 6.5 ROM's, they are awesome.

Thanks for the advice! I installed, reinstalled, soft reset, and hard reset and couldn't get it to work right. One would work, but the other wouldn't. So I took your advice and flashed a 6.5 ROM. Using the Internet Connection Sharing (USB), everything is working GREAT! I've decided that for this is good enough for me. Maybe later I'll venture into trying the WIFI Router stuff again.
