O2 UK data network suffers outage

O2 UK has experienced an outage across the UK which has affected many customers.

BBC News said:

Network operator O2's data network has experienced an outage across the UK.

Internet and multimedia message services have been disrupted for all of the firm's customers who are on monthly contracts.

O2 is not disclosing the cause of the outage but says that its engineers are aware of the cause of the problem and are working to correct it.

Hopefully they will be able to fix it pretty soon.

is this specific to the mobile network because my Home Broadbannd (spplied by o2) has been playing silly beggars for a few days.

Good question - I can't find anything about O2 Broadband outage, so could be specific to your area?
