Big request - custom ROM, without HTC apps

Hi,

I'm new to these forums but have been following the development of the new custom ROM for the last days in the XDA forums. It's certainly been exciting and now my phone feelsh lightning fast, so I owe you a big thank you, Paul.

I have done some customisations to your ROM and replaced a few of HTC's own apps (the calendar, the browser, the music player) with the ones originally provided by google. I've found that while HTC's versions are generally flashier, Google's are handier and saner. I would like to replace more of them (e.g. the contact list, the phone application) for some reason changing those causes a boot loop or, in the best case scenario, the app not to launch.

I (and some other guys from the forums) would love to try the vanilla experience in our Hero handhelds, so I have to ask: do you have any plans to make a version of your custom ROM without any of HTC's changes, or maybe a stock android ROM modified to work in the Hero?
