I selected "use only 2g networks" as an attempt to see if there would be a noticable improvement in battery life for a day.

Test over, I de-selected it, but now I dont even get a 'G' connection let alone Hsdpa! I do still have phone functionality.

I have restored a nandroid backup from before I installed the modaco ROM, yet I still cant get any internet connection.
It looks like it is trying to connect, under "mobile network" it intermittently says its "turning on"

I have modaco rom 2.0

Has anyone else faced this issue, and fingers crossed come up with a solution?

What carrier are you on!

I found this was because after the ROM update my APN had been wiped for orange. Adding it back in sorted it!

*cough*
this is quite embarassing. I removed the sim card, gave it a wipe, then put it back in, and 3g/hsdpa was restored.

Thank you for your help Funkyfin2000
