The latest version give me the message:"Backup failed: cannot run command", and the other just; "Backup failed!" Anyone with ideas? See tons of other people with the same problem. Got the Hero_2.73.405.5 (official). Thanks in advance for any solutions... EDIT: It actually worked in the end by rebooting my phone and then try. I know I ran into this problem, what I found out was that my Hero needed to be downgraded in order for rooting to occur. I went to theunlockr and followed this guide. The tutorial helped me out tremendously. Just disregard the video, it's not accurate to the most recent updates, and follow the text based directions below the embedded youtube video. Hopefully this will be of benefit! Just be sure to read every step carefully, and take the time to look over each direction. It's not much, but when you follow it, you'll be able to proceed with rooting B) It also has further tutorials to proceed with rooting, and you can use this guide by ptruman on this forum for help with installing a custom rom of your choice.
