Here's another option for a free GPS solution for your mobile from XDA, with the important feature of being able to download maps to your device, ideal for those without a data plan.

NaviComputer is a finger friendly pocket pc software to handle  Offline GPS Maps on windows mobile. The best part of this app is the  ability to Download maps with the included PC Program “NaviMapper” ,  which means NO dataplan needed once the maps are on your device.

Following (multi layer) maps are fully supported:

  • GoogleMaps
  • GoogleSattelite
  • GoogleTerrain
  • OpenStreetMap
  • OpenStreetOSM
  • YahooMap
  • YahooSatellite
  • VirtualEarthMap
  • VirtualEarthSatellite
  • VirtualEarthHybrid
It's available for WM 6.1 or 6.5, requires .NET CF 3.5 and Internal GPS and at the moment is only available for VGA and WVGA.
