Beta-Testers needed for File via SMS sending software and service!

SMSMyFile is a free file-sending hosting service. It features a new and original concept of sending files via SMS to other mobile users.




THE ADVANTAGES:

- Send full-size pictures and videos, any type of data, audio, programs etc. to mobile or PC

- You dont need to set up an email connection and are not limited to MMS, Bluetooth or infrared connectivity restrictions

- Service and software is completely free of charge, the only costs are your regular carrier charges for SMS and data sending

- Supports all the latest Mobile platforms - Symbian, Windows Mobile, iPhone, Android, Palm Pre - WebOS, Blackberry, JAVA Mobile.

- Data can be sent as a link to recipient's email on PC and then downloaded at no cost



PLEASE NOTE:

- The uploads are currently limited to a maximum file-size of 10MB per upload

- The person receiving will be be charged only for data transfer, with no charge when using a WiFi connection





DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL LATEST VERSION FROM YOUR PHONE INTERNET BROWSER.
Navigate to www.smsmyfile.com and click on "Download Windows Mobile version" it will initiate installation directly to your phone.



MOBILE VERSION INSTRUCTIONS:

- After installation, software will be attached to your Contacts and Inbox menu as: "SMSMyFile“

- Open your Contact or Inbox and select one from your list then click on Options->SMSMyFile

- A SMSMyFile.com page will be shown

- Below the number you'll see a box in which a message to the recipient may be added, if you wish.

- This message will appear to the recipient, along with the file link.

- The next step is to choose the file that you wish to send, using the built-in File Manager to do so.

- Select the file and click on 'Upload'....



You can also download a latest CAB installation file attached  to this post!

and install to your phone with via ActiveSync.

Hi Scyth,


No, we are not using any encoding/resizing/compression algorithm. We are transferring file as-is without any changes.



User do not even need to install software client, just do the following:


1. Open www.smsmyfile.com on your mobile Internet Explorer.

2. Manually enter receiver mobile number or email, optionally write text message
    that will be merged with shorten link and click on "Browse" to select the file.

3. When file is selected click on "Upload"

4. After upload  you will be shown a SMS, click on Options->Send


... and that's it, in a few clicks!
