I upgraded OmniaII from wm 6.1 to wm6.5 ij9
When I called that Omnia, I realised that voice is crackling, terribly. I can describe that voice. Run recorder program. Select options-> record format -> AMR format. record your voice, and listen. It is 8kKz 16 bit 12.80 kbps and crackling. What it must like be? Select options -> record format -> MP3 High. Now record your voice again, and listen.

SO what is the problem? I could access another OmniaII with wm6.1 ROM. Dialed  *#0002*28346# and reached to GAIN program.
I noted every setting of VOICE lines. And saw that, wm 6.5 has changed Voice Speaker -> Input Volume -> MGNL3 to 0110
it was 1001 in wm 6.1 ROM, and was changed by wm6.5 (I don't remember what to). So I changed it to 1001 again. Now, voice is perfect.
So, here are other factory default voice settings of Turkish WM6.1 ROM, for your reference:
PDA:    I8000JUII2
CSC:    I8000TURII1
Phone: I8000XXIH8

I bet, a lot of wm6.5 users aren't aware of that problem. Just give your phone to a friend, and listen incoming voice from your wm6.5 i8000.
