1) unpack to device according to folders in archive

2) import reg file

3) reboot device

So I have the files, I thought I'd put them in a cab, but should there be something in the windows folder?

Oops hidden files on my laptop....Yes swype is now working on my O2. I put the files intended for Program Files into My Storage/Program Files and all is good.

To set Swype as the default sip so that you don't have to manually select it each time after a soft reset (10 times a day for me) set this reg key:HKCU/ControlPanel/Sip DefaultIm to this {7D51A54F-14D0-4eda-AC8D-0AE175C344E8}, but copy the existing string first, I just pasted it into a note. ;)

And thanks again to all those who contributed to the clean extraction of this brilliant keyboard. ;)

GJ guys! Currently i'm trying to convert those files into QVGA version. It works, but... i can't see keyboard, it simply isn't showing, just some 'broken place' and thing generally hangs a lil - trace doesn't disappear after getting a word.

DLL problems You think? I changed what i could and i knew i need to.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Doesn't seem to work for me... anyone able to tell me what I did wrong?

I extred the files on my Windows 7 64bit pc then well I noticed there was nothing inside the Windows Folder but I still just put everything onto my phone and copied every folder into their place. Program Files inside My Storage>Program Files. Windows in My Device>Windows. But I'm not sure how to import the registry file and where to import to?

There is a Swype.dll which is a hidden file. Go to your Windows Control Panel under Foler Option, choose show hidden files, folders and drives and uncheck Hide Protected Operating System Files and you should be able to see the Swype.dll file in the Windows Folder

Download CeRegEdit (run in XP mode & admin mode) and under the Edit tab, import the registry file (where you saved it) into your phone. You need to connect your phone to your PC (WMDC) before doing this.

Hope it helps

my comp always shows hidden files, but still nothing appears in the folder. THat's why I thought it was strange to see nothing in it even though my computer is set to show hidden files. That was one of the first things I did after I upgraded to windows 7.

i'll go give the cab file a try.

Thanks for the tip! I created a reg file to make it easier. Another reg file to reset to back to default samsung keyboard. Rename the attached by removing the .TXT extension before use.

setDefault.reg.TXT

resetDefault.reg.TXT

Hey Sorg,

I apologize but am fairly newb at all of this. I was wondering where exactly on the phone that I put all of the files that I extract (and is it ok to extract them on the ppc first?) Do I basically put the entire "swype" folder into "program files, then import the registry file as per the instructions in the forum then reboot? (If you are able to reply, if you could be as step by step as possible that would be amazing!)

You guys all rock! With all the hacks/tweaks I like my O2 better than my iphone! ;) ;)

I downloaded a rom and installed it on my phone that didn't work. I didn't realize I needed to back up the one that was on there. I downloaed the oem.rar and sys.rar files. Can someone tell me how to put them into a rom or do it for me so I can get my phone working again please. I am new to this stuff. I have an omnia 2 sch-i920 verizon phone so this is the right stuff for me I think. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
