just tried installing the battery widget on my MCR 3.0 and gives me "Incompatible update." notice.

I'm on MCR 3.0 and the battery widget works great. Replaced vizBattery with it and it looks a bit neater.

The other widgets are just gimmicks really. Today in history's pretty cool and Dice is what you'd expect......just virtual dice.

getting the incompatability error as well which is really annoying.... So defo something in V3? Paul can you have a look?

I don't know what the error is then.

I'm on a GSM T-mobile G2 Touch with MoDaCo Custom ROM 3.0 Core.

Out of interest, are the people that it isn't installing for also unable to find the usual problem apps in the marketplace? (Twidroid, Facebook, barcode reader).

For that matter, are those having success able to find them? (Working for me, and I can't find them all).

Yeah. Same here. ;)

Won't install and says incompatible.

FWIW I'm on Modaco 3.0 with Teknologist kernel and the performance 'update.zip' addon. I tried to install the battery app, and it didn't install.

Anyways, 1MB+ for a battery status app is a bit rich, although I guess that for those of us with A2SD, it would be fine once we can get it installed on a hacked ROM
