1.3 working great for now, even Messages. :)

The only thing I'm missing is the automatic backlight adjustment option in settings. There's only the slider for background brightness and whenever the screen sleeps and wakes up again it turns back to automatic backlight again.

Anyone else have this issue?

Vanilla Android 1.5 doesn't officially support auto backlight, however I set it to manually override in build.prop. Unfortunately there is no fix for this yet.

Can I just say, I understand you started this a while ago and you have done really well to fix the crashes etc but a vanilla MCR is easily achievable using the online kitchen now...

Kitchen is only available for modaco members.

It looks great and I would love to use it, but since it's my work phone I have to use Exchange sync.. :)

(how about two builds, one with exchange sync?) :)

When HTC releases their Android 2.1 update, I will be producing a ROM for that update too. As Android 2.1 natively supports exchange, it'll get in here eventually :)

seems very fast

but unfortunately i can`t get no internet (2g/3g/h) access, only voice.

i`m on t-mobile uk, so not sure whats going on because the apn seems correct and i dont have problems with any other rom.

sorry i m new to android too. correct me if i m wrong:

go to phone dialer: *#*#4636#*#*

phone information

set your preferred network (WCDMA preferred, GSM only, WCDMA only)

toggle DNS check = set to allow

the most important thing before you leave, CLICK on your hardward MENU button and select "enable data connection"

it works for me, i m not sure it is for you. cheers!

Does anyone actually use the Java application for anything?

It's for running dumbphone java applications primarily, I think I might remove it in the next release.

v1.3 mirror: http://rapidshare.com/files/339572256/AychTeeSee-1.3.zip

(ETA 15mins)

Didn't realise 1.2 was running Tek 1.9, manually updated to 1.91 and removed ramzswap.sh rather than have to do housekeeping again after a new ROM install :)

Really is very fast, methinks HTC need to optimise their apps a LOT.

Thanks for the mirror, adding it to the post now.

You don't remove the whole file, you just delete everything in it but the last 2 lines.

Andrew

Cheers Andrew, I had tried this ROM a little while back, now with time and all the good reports it's time to try again. Will try as is initially then try with ramzswap removed to compare.

OK Nandroid backup, deep breath, see you on the other side

:)

Edit: Any news on the white top bar or a link I remember reading someone mentioned about an update zip on XDA forum?

The one on XDA is outdated and buggy. I'm working on the white bar now, actually :)

The white bar is fully completed with proper icons and colour :) Looks exactly like an aosp ROM now.

EDIT: Oh, and proper buttons and colour scheme too.

Will be uploading 1.4 later.

Hey hey, excellent work! Trying it now, is it supposed to play the default ringtone incessantly after boot ? The only way to turn it off seems to be ring volume...

Nevermind, I managed to fail at factory wipe B)

Edit 2: Seems like the notification sound repated. I learnt how to wipe :)

The reason it's repeating, is actually because you have unread notifications. Because I didn't set a default notification sound (d'oh!), you just need to drag the notification bar down to stop it. You can change the notification sound to something more reasonable in settings.

SMS notification is still white-on-black and looks a bit funny, presumably part of the SMS app itself so could be a pain to fix. Maybe disable the bootup sounds by default as they don't really correlate to what's going on on the screen with the N1 bootlogo.

Looks nice though :)

Just noticed that in the Android apps long-press items fade from yellow to white when you press on them which is a nice touch.
