Are you sure it's made for landscape-mode?

I think it's not possible B)

Yes you have ;)

In section 5.2.4 there is a notice:

a ) FpseCE start everytime in portrait.

b ) To return to portrait from landscape, tap on the top/right screen

corner (top/right viewed from Portrait orientation).

I marked important for you  ;)

Solution:

a) Slide out your keyboard and then run FPSECE - you willhave access to keyboard and UI to set the keys

b ) the text is pretty self explanatory; just small notice: top/right corner is VERY small area at the edge of the screen - you will need stylus for this.

I know, I could tell you sooner, but seriously...... it is in read me file........ :)

no i havent... i have barely done the keys for crash bandicoot 2..i gave up after tekken 3 gave me a hard time (plus it was 03.something in the night hehe)

too bad the games is slooooow..almost impossible to play "technical playing" games like Crash, tombraider etc which is strange, since the hardware in the omnia pro more then enough makes up for the prestanda of a playstation.

and i DO tycker att manualen är bristfällig,to say the least ..

Are you unable to set keys only in GTA or in emulator in general? Have you tested it with other games? If you are unable to set the keys only in GTA then it is probably error of specific game (for example: I can not use controller with analog sticks for Final Fantasy Tactics - had to use regular controller). If you are unable to set the keys at all, try uninstaling SDK (if you have) - I had this installed and FPSECE was not working properly.

NP, just read manuals next time B) And upper right corner is from Portrait orientation - if you slide out keyboard (landscape) it will be upper left ;)

Well there's a bug with configuring B7610 hardware keys (keyboard). After you had a successful key mapping of a game, in other games, it seem to unable to map keys...

Well here's a tip, on configuring keys (with the Simple game controller layout [first] not the one with the analog controller)

1. Run FPSECE.10

2. Slide the keyboard (Fpsece will run at full screen landscape)

3. Without closing the keyboard, tap the extreme upper left corner of the screen (if your in landscape view) to reveal menu (if done succesfully, FPSCE will run at portrait again.)

4. Now touch the game pad icon.

5. On the middle left side there is a small PSP icon, tap this to until keys are highlighted.

6. Now map keys by touching the virtual gamepad, be sure that after typing a button, the --- mark shows, meaning it's waiting for a hardware key to be map (which in this case the keyboard keys). Complete all necessary key mapping. (If you cannot map keys...look suggestion below)

7. After finishing mapping, tap the small power icon (this is important,to finalize hardware key mapping). Main menu will now show again.

8.Tap the landscape button and check if the keyboard was correctly mapped and working. If not, again tap the extreme upper left corner of the screen (if your in landscape view) to reveal menu and see if it's still in key mapping mode, and just tap the small power button to finalize mapping.

If you had a successful working keyboard mapping, first turn off fpsece (by holding the power button), to save configuration. If you don't, and on the course of playing Fpsece crashes, you will then again re-configure keys from the start

If you cannot map keys:

This is the bug. The only fix I know is to restart FPSECE, kill it's process or soft resetting and trying agin. The latter always works :(

Never had these kind of difficulties. Keymapping was always excellent on my b7610, but I agree that one should use controller without analog. In my experience, if you can not map the keys, uninstall SKD (if you have it).

Mapping itself is however tricky indeed, but there is no bug (at least I do not see/experienced the bug)!! If you map the keys in one game, the keys will work only in that game and for any other game it will reset to default - no keys mapped :(

Therefore, start FPSECE and immediacy press CANCEL button (do not load any game and do not slide out the keyboard!!). This will boot up PSX bios. Now slide out the keyboard switch back to portrait mode a set the keys as usual. Then close the emulator (regularly not forcefully) and now everytime you load new game, you will have default keys set. You can of course set the keys for specific game without changing default setting (setting of other games).
